Position title:  Talent Management Partner, WWF-Laos

Location:         Vientiane Capital – with extensive travel to the sites.

Talent Management Partner works as HR business partners to our program team. They help align an organization’s people strategy with the organization’s conservation strategy.  They serve as a critical link between an organization’s workforce and WWF-Laos’s goal, which includes strategic workforce planning, talent management and succession planning, learning and development for special and deep organizational knowledge.  They will initiate, support and implement recruitment, onboarding, inclusion, employee experience, and talent retention.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management: Initiate, support and implement strategic workforce planning, coordinate end-to-end recruitment process to attract qualified talent. Implement onboarding programs to ensure new joiners integrate effectively into the organization, coordinate performance management process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Work with managers to set performance expectations and development plans for employees. Support in feedback and coaching discussions.
  • Succession Planning: Identify key positions and critical roles within the organization for succession planning, develop talent pipelines by assessing and identifying high-potential employees, create and manage individual development plans for future leaders.
  • Learning and development: work closely with department heads for L&D needs assessment, develop L&D strategy for WWF-Laos including compulsory trainings like First Aid, Fire Drill, Integrity and Ethnic and others as defined by the organization.
  • Act as focal point for employee relations cases.
  • Support P&C Manager on legal and compliance risks.
  • Support P&C Manager and People Managers on projects and initiatives to advance various areas of P&C such as employee engagement, new HRIS system, new performance management system, and other project and initiatives as they are introduced and implemented. 
  • Support P&C Manager in day-to-day operations of the P&C unit in efficient and effective delivery of all other hygiene factors of human resources management such as compensation and benefits and implementation of P&C policies. 
  • Carry out other assignments given by the Line Manager

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in HR Management, Organization Development, and business administration or in relevant fields,
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in human resources management.
  • Experience in talent management, learning and development preferably in the context of an international NGO.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is an advantage.

 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Presentation and communication skills, interaction skills.
  • Organizing / planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Laos employment laws.
  • Detail focus, enthusiastic, friendly and careful.
